In this post, the team installs multiple components for the 1963 Corvette Cooling System. We repaired and installed the fan shroud, fan, fan clutch, lower hood latches, hood hinges, hood support, alternator, upper radiator hose, lower radiator hose, both balance hoses, and are working on assembly of the fuel injection unit.
We installed a new lower fan shroud seal.
We found on the fan shroud that some one had cut a section out to make clearance for an aftermarket radiator.
We welded in a new piece of metal and used a little bit of filler to smooth out the welds.
We installed the lower hood latches.
Here the team installed the hood hinges and supports.
Next the fan shroud was then installed.
The fan and fan clutch were then set in place.
The picture above shows the alternator installed.
Here the belts are installed and tightened down.
The upper radiator hose and painted filler neck is installed in the above picture.
The radiator to expansion tank balance hose installed.
The water pump to manifold balance hose installed.
