In this post, we will show and demonstrate the process taken to complete the 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe Disassembly.
We have started the big tear down of the 63 Corvette. We have been taking mass amounts of photos and everything is being cataloged and placed in bins. We are being aware and sure of where each and every specific part is recorded and bagged to make the future assembly easier.
Here is the Corvette after removal of the engine. This where the disassembly begins.
Here is the engine compartment and front end after the initial disassembly.
We have also started removing all the interior as you can see from the photo.
All parts removed are placed into a numbered bin. Each bin has an itemized list of its contents. We placed a copy of the itemized list in each bin and we have a copy of the list on file, thus we can find any part at any time by just referring to the list and getting the respective bin. This will ensure that everything is here and safe for the next time around when we need to assemble everything back together.
